Working through an extensive network of local contacts, Endeavor screens hundreds of next-generation entrepreneurs, ultimately selecting those who demonstrate the leadership, creativity, ethical grounding and entrepreneurial qualities to build high-growth, successful companies. Once selected, Endeavor Entrepreneurs benefit from custom support services to help them develop their businesses, plan for growth, and attract financing. Endeavor’s key strength is its network of VentureCorps Mentors: local and global business-leaders that provide pro-bono advice to the entrepreneurs in Endeavor’s network. Endeavor also stimulates a local entrepreneurial infrastructure by promoting entrepreneurial role models and seeking out partnerships. Headquartered in New York City, Endeavor currently has offices in most Latin American countries as well as South Africa, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey. Endeavor aims to be in 20 emerging countries by 2020.

Search & Selection Officer’s Purpose:
Endeavor Egypt country office is seeking to hire a "Search & Selection Officer" to identify, and help select potential Egyptian high-impact entrepreneurs to present at the Endeavor International Selection Panels.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in developing the "High Impact" criteria of Entrepreneurs based on the Global model and tailoring it to match the Egyptian local market.
Proactively seek out and screen high-potential entrepreneurs based on the selection criteria by attending trade-fairs and following business publications.
Leverage Endeavor’s network of business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, academics and journalists to “nominate” potential candidates
Communicate with Endeavor Global on S&S activities and progress
Recruit key members of the business, consulting, finance, industry and marketing communities, to volunteer as pro bono screeners of entrepreneur candidates and mentors of selected entrepreneurs
Conduct in-depth interviews with entrepreneur candidates per selection cycle
Assess companies’ growth potential, critical challenges, and entrepreneurial capacity of the team
Draft company overviews and detailed profiles to be used at Endeavor’s Local Panel and International Selection Panel, analyzing: business concept, innovation, growth potential and management team
Prepare and coach final candidates for Local and International Selection Panels
Keep up-to-date statistics on Endeavor’s Selection Process and maintain an ongoing pipeline of potential entrepreneur candidates
Manage other related Search and Selection activities
Oversee Search & Selection Associates
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree business related field, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience (banking, private equity, management consulting, strategic planning, business development, organizational strategy, sales and marketing), Master’s Degree a plus
Good business judgment: ability to identify and evaluate world-class entrepreneurial leaders and role models, companies and projects
Basic financial knowledge (balance sheet, cash flow, basic accounting) (preferred)
Excellent English as well as Arabic written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Egypt's economic and business climate
Ability to travel internationally on occasion
Experience working in an international capacity
Highly motivated, focused, creative, flexible, organized, able to balance multiple priorities
Strong computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)
