 Peace Research Institute Frankfurt Fellowships:

For its research department “Private Actors in the Transnational Sphere” (department head: Professor Dr. Klaus Dieter Wolf) the Peace Research
Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) is currently offering2 PhD Fellowshipsfor an initial period of 2 years. Applicants should, at a minimum, have
an upper second class MA/MSC degree in social sciences. The doctoral
research project may be based on the topics “corporate enterprises” or
“civil society organizations including religious organizations”.A very
good command of both German and English in word and writing is
indispensable.

The fellowship amounts to Euro 1.200 per month.

Family allowances are granted according to the guidelines of the Volkswagen Stiftung (compare DFG guidelines). Project funds are
available for expenditures in connection with the research project.
Fellowship holders are obliged to participate in the PhD seminar at
PRIF.

PRIF is an independent foundation under public law and is funded by the state of Hesse and the German Federal Government. It became a member of the Leibniz Association on January 1, 2009. With approximately 60 staff
members PRIF is the largest German peace research institute.
