The Egyptian Union of Young Human Right Organizations
(Young Organizations Network)
The Egyptian Union of Young Human Right Organizations (Young Organizations Network) is an independent non-governmental and non-profit institution seeking to spread and support a culture of human rights in addition to achieve a comprehensive development in the Egyptian society through its activities and programs. The Network believes the principle of equality and non-discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color or sex between members of the community in rights and duties. Union's membership is granted to young organizations working in the field of human rights.
Our mission:
In an important and historic initiative, a number of Egyptian human rights organizations agreed on the establishment of a union between young human rights organizations. The purpose of establishing this union is to support the system of Egyptian civil society through enhancing the concept of partnership between the organizations members of the Union.

Our objectives:
- Foster a culture of human rights, democracy and anti-discrimination.
- Encourage and support young Institutions to develop their own resources and to improve their performance.
- Build a developed technological structure that contributes in supporting the capabilities of civil society organizations
- Assist young institutions in identifying the objectives and areas of work, in addition to help them to overcome the problems emerged at the beginning of work.
- Strengthen the relationship with the institutions of civil society in addition to enhance networking, coordination and cooperation between them.
- Support and develop the capacity of young leaders in senior and junior human rights organizations.
- Undertake and disseminate related researches and studies

The founding organizations of the Union:
1- The Technological Center for Human Rights (TCHR) is a nonprofit civil firm concerned with supporting the situations of human rights in Egypt and the Arab Region, based on a set of principles and ethics. The main idea of TCHR is to utilize technology and state-of-art advancements. In this framework, TCHR adopts a set of programs to explore new horizons in the field of development like for example: Human Rights E-Training, Software for NGOs and Audio-visual Book. The Center organized the first participation in an international conference through the use of indirect presentation techniques (online conference) in cooperation with the University of Berkeley California, under the title of (the soul of new machine).
2- Himaia (Protection) Center for Supporting Human Rights Activists. An Egyptian legal Centuries working in the field of defense and support for human rights defenders through the legal and technical support to them and the organization of legal campaigns and preparation of legal researches and studies on the defenders. The Center was established in 2008, based in Cairo. The Center has many activities including: participation in the formation of a coalition to defend the human rights activists including the Arab European Center for Human Rights and International Law, Norway and Bahrain Youth Association for Human Rights. The Center is a member in the Arab European Center for Human Rights and International Law, Norway.The Center has launched Hemayatna(our protection) Campaign to address the abuse by the administrative authorities against human rights organizations in Egypt under the title of "protection through education," The Center organized three training courses during the campaign (two courses in Cairo and one in Sohaaj). Furthermore, the center prepared a training course entitled "Preparation of a successful jurist" in cooperation with the Bar Association in Dakahliya. In addition, Mr. Sayed Aboualala represented the Center in the organization of a training course funded by the International Republican Institute, Jordan, on public opinion polls
3- El Hak (Truth) Center for Democracy and Human Rights is a non-profit civil firm working in the field of democracy and human rights. The Center was established in October 2007 as a direct result of the founders of the Center's participation in the program of "new generation" the Freedom House Organization (USA). Furthermore, the center seeks to consolidate the concepts of democracy, tolerance and acceptance of others as well as assistance in creating new generations of lawyers and ''''journalists who are able to command and control of the process of democratic transformation in Egypt. The Center participated in many activities during the past year, as it has organized 6 workshops for journalists in Monoufia, Dakahliya and Damietta, in the framework of the project of building the capacity of young journalists funded by the (NED) Foundation. In addition Mr. Shadi Amin (the collaboration with the International Republican Institute)..
4- Cairo Center for Development and Civil Society Care a non-governmental organization. The Center operates in the field of development and human rights, international law, international humanitarian law and democracy. Furthermore, Center seeks to focus on narrowing the quality gap between men and women, in addition to forwarding the concept of human rights instruments and to each individual within the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Center aims to enable women to participate actively in public life at the political, social and economic levels. The Center is currently preparing a special study on women's political participation. The Center aims to integrate its attention of women's issues in supporting women in electoral observation.
