On 10 December 2004, the General Assembly of
the United Nations proclaimed the World
Programme for Human Rights Education
(2005-ongoing) to advance the implementation
of human rights education programmes in all
sectors.
The Board of Trustees will oversee the function of ECHRE and ensure that the core values and purposes of the organization are reflected in its operation process. The members of the Board of Trustees are professionals in the field of human rights and contribute to ECHRE´s development through their expertise as university teachers, activists and NGO professionals. The members also respond to enquiries from third parties about ECHRE´s activities.
